• Playing Divisions
  There are four different age divisions for the Indoor season. Divisions are split by gender and age, with the exception of the oldest division, which is coed.  Children age 6 to 18 (as of August 1, 2008) are eligible to participate.
  
  

  Age determines what program a player can register for.  Age is determined by your child’s age on August 1, 2008.  Programs are grouped by age.  HVSA allows a player to play in a program above his/her age group if the player is no more than one year younger than the bottom age of the next program. 
  
  

• Schedule Notes

  Games are played on Sunday afternoons beginning on January 11, 2009 and continuing for 9 weeks.  Games will not be played on the holiday weekends in January (1/18/09) and February (2/15/09).  There are no practices. The last set of games will be March 22nd.

  
  

  Game times vary each week, as only two teams can play in the gym at a given time and there are more than two teams in each division.  A schedule will be provided after teams are formed.  Locations are not finalized, but we will try to keep to the same locations. Last year the locations for the programs were as follows: 

  • Divison 1 - Bear Tavern Elementary
  • Division 2 Girls - Stony Brook Elementary
  • Division 2 Boys - Hopewell Elementary
  • Division 3 Girls - Timberlane Middle School
  • Division 3 Boys - Timberlane Middle School
  • Division 4 - HV Central High School

• Equipment Notes
  Shin guards are mandatory in all Divisions.  Shirts only will be provided.  Proper gym shorts, socks and footwear for gymnasium floors are the responsibility of the players.

• JOSHUA RIGEL SCHOLARSHIP FUND
  Families experiencing financial hardships may request aid from the JOSHUA RIGEL SCHOLARSHIP FUND. An application may be downloaded from the HVSA web site.

  
  

• Volunteers
  The HVSA always needs board members, coaches, assistant coaches, and referees. If you would like to participate in one of these capacities, please indicate this when registering online.
