Hopewell Valley Soccer - Spring 2008 Training Academy

Aim:
To provide travel players with a weekly individual technical training session to supplement their team training sessions.

This year our travel academy will include the coaching methodology of Brazil - the World's Greatest Soccer Nation. The curriculum will be based on the practices and theories behind youth soccer education in Brazil. Our UK Elite trainers will incorporate these practices in to our curriculum and include Brazilian techniques and training components at ALL of our Academy training sessions focused exclusively on providing a truly 'Brazilian Experience'.

ON THE FIELD we will introduce you to the educational soccer practices commonly used by the most renowned Brazilian coaches. Specific attention will be paid to rhythm of play, individual creativity and improvisation. Increased emphasis is placed on the importance of each player's 'first touch'.

Each Academy session will be a Brazilian technical circuit routine based on a training method used by the Brazilian National Soccer team as part of their training regime and preparation for games and tournaments. It incorporates different stations where the players work on a different skill i.e. dribbling for about 45secs then moving on to the next, the idea being that the players improve through repetition and muscle memory. It is also good aerobic exercise and will improve a player's fitness and agility.'

Please have players to sessions 5 minutes early, shin guards are required and be sure to bring water. All sessions will take place on field #2 at Washington Crossing State Park.
