Hopewell Valley Travel Soccer Player Registration - 2008

• Travel Soccer 2008/2009 Season
  The Hopewell Valley Soccer Association (HVSA) is now accepting on-line registration for 2008-2009 travel soccer tryout participants. There is no fee to tryout provided the player has registered on-line. There is a $15.00 walk on fee.

  
  
• Tryouts
  The HVSA travel soccer tryouts are open and competitive in nature. HVSA strives to create the most competitive teams possible in each age group for the players of Hopewell Valley. HVSA travel tryouts are conducted by unbiased qualified evaluators. The HVSA travel tryout and team selection process can be viewed at tryout process & team selection.
  
  

  • Arrive ready to play
    Players are expected to arrive 15 minutes early to check in ready to play with appropriate soccer wear- soccer cleats, and shin guards are required. Each player will be supplied with a tryout number to affix to their shirt. It is encouraged that players bring plenty of water.
    

  
  
  
• Program
  The travel soccer season commitment is for one year. Teams are divided by gender, based upon the player's age as of August 1st of the current year. Please go to year of play for a chart to determine a player's year of play for the 2008-2009 season.
  
  
• Travel Season
  A typical travel soccer team plays 10 league games in the fall and 10 league games in the spring and possibly participates in a number of tournaments during each season depending on the age and competitive nature of the team. Travel teams train 1 or 2 times a week.
  
  
  
• Volunteers
  HVSA is always looking for volunteers to ensure that both its Rec and Travel programs are well run. During the on-line registration process, you will have an opportunity to volunteer to be a travel coach, assistant coach or manager. Each participating family will have a chance to volunteer for different team volunteer positions once a team has been formed.
