Hopewell Valley Rec Soccer Player Registration - Indoor (Winter) Program

Winter/Indoor 2022
We are excited to resume our HVSA Winter Program. Registration for the 2022 season (Jan 9 - Mar 13) will open November 1st.
Consistent with Youth Soccer directives, head balls are no longer permitted in HVSA Rec Soccer games or practices.
Programs
  • There are four different age divisions for the Indoor season. Divisions are split by gender and age, with the exception of the oldest division, which is coed.  Children age 5 to 18 (as of August 1, 2021) are eligible to participate.
  • REGISTRATIONS PRIOR TO 12/20/21 will be guaranteed placement on a team.  Wait lists are possible for registrations after this date.

Age determines what program a player is eligible to register for.  Age is determined by your child’s age on August 1, 2021.  Programs are grouped by age.

Schedule Notes

Games are played on Sunday afternoons beginning on January 9, 2022 and continuing for 10 weeks. Games will not be played on the holiday weekends in January (1/16/22) and February (2/20/22). There are no practices. The last set of games will be March 13th. The schedule includes one weather-related make-up date. No refunds are given due to additional weather cancellations.

Game times vary each week (between 12:30 and 5:30 pm), as only two teams can play in the gym at a given time and there are more than two teams in each division. A schedule will be provided after teams are formed.

All Divisions will play at Timberlane Middle School.

Equipment Notes
  • Shin guards are mandatory in all Divisions.  Only uniform shirts will be provided.  Proper gym shorts, soccer socks (which completely cover the shin guards) and footwear for gymnasium floors are the responsibility of the players. Players should not wear sneakers with black soles as they will leave scuff marks on the gym floor.
  • Act C.5:18-1 passed by the Senate and General assembly of the State of New Jersey states that any child that wears corrective eyeglasses while participating in soccer shall be required to wear protective eyewear that meets the frame standards of the American Society for Testing and Materials (ATSM) F803 and the lens standards of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Z87.1. Refer to this site for more information.
  • No forms of jewelry are allowed on a player with the only exceptions of religious or medical bracelets, which must be properly taped to the player’s body. This includes all forms of piercing.

Volunteers
The HVSA always needs board members, coaches, assistant coaches, and referees. If you would like to participate in one of these capacities, please indicate this when registering online.
